Saint Paul the Apostle Parish School of Religion (PSR) provides religious instruction, formation, and sacramental preparation to children attending public or non-Catholic private schools. Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 year for grades PreK through 8th.

We strive to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to life by exploring various aspects of our faith through studying our Catholic core beliefs, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, scripture, the sacraments, and the Saints. Participation in religious education every year is important in forming a foundation of faith.

When Classes Meet

Classes are held Wednesdays, September through April, from 4:45–6:00 PM or 6:45–8:00 PM. (PreK meets during the 4:45–6:00 PM session only.)

Register at stpaccpsr.faithenroll.net.

New This Year: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

New to St. Paul PSR this year is the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program for grades PreKindergarten and Kindergarten. CGS is a Montessori-inspired method to teach children scripture and the Mass while fostering a relationship with Christ. Space is limited.

Sacramental Preparation

  • Families with children entering first grade this fall should register this year so that their children receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion in second grade.
  • Students in grades 7 and 8 will prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in spring of 2027. The two-year PSR coursework requirement for Confirmation is being waived for the 2026–27 school year.
  • An additional sacraments class will be offered at 6:45 PM for those in grades 3–8 who have been baptized and need to prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion.

Home Study Option

A home study option is available for students in grades 1 and 3–6. Students complete lessons at home and submit assignments when required. Students opting for home study will also have additional activity requirements to complete throughout the year.

Volunteers Needed

Our program would not be possible without the assistance of many adult volunteers. All materials and training are provided. Volunteer roles include Catechist, Co-Catechist, Classroom Aide, Hall Monitor, Flex Volunteer, and Childcare Provider. Volunteers receive tuition discounts! Register using the link above.
