Sing the glory of His name
The Second Vatican Council stated emphatically that choirs must be diligently promoted while ensuring that the assembly (as is their responsibility) participates in those songs and acclamations that belong to the worshiping community as a whole. Therefore, the purpose of the choir is two-fold. The choir primarily reinforces and enhances the assembly song. Secondarily, the choir sings alone those songs enlisting its competence. The ability to read music is not a prerequisite for joining any St. Paul Choir. However, the music is challenging. Although the occasional absence is unavoidable, regular rehearsal attendance is necessary.

“It is fitting that there be a cantor or a choir director to direct and support the people’s singing. Indeed, when there is no choir, it is up to the cantor to direct the different chants, with the people taking the part proper to them.”

The Muller Pipe Organ
This pipe organ custom-built for Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church was made sacred when it was blessed and dedicated to worship by Father Charles Klinger on October 19, 2014 at the 10:30 AM Mass. As the Holy Water struck the case and pipes, the organ sounded for the first time the hymn, All Creatures of Our God and King (LASST UNS ERFREUN), and thus took its place among the servants of God to Worship the Lord. For although this pipe organ is thoroughly equipped to render organ literature, its primary responsibility is to enhance Worship.
