St. Paul sums up the entire Christian life in a single word: love. But a word that means everything can come to mean nothing, and our culture has grown deeply confused about what love actually is. The slogan "love is love" reflects a vision in which each person defines love for themselves and the only sin is to disagree. Against that stands the Church's ancient claim: God is love, and we cannot know what love truly is apart from Him.
